Played by Geoffrey Keen, the Minister of Defence is a grumpy old man, who generally works beside M, and helps with handing out missions and giving background information on suspects. Keen plays this role with skill and dignity, and like M, has a somewhat frosty relationship with 007. |
Bill Tanner

Bill Tanner, deputy to M, appears in Octopussy, mainly in respect to M, whose part has been left vacant due to Bernard Lee's death. Tanner is bold, blut, and takes no nonsense. |

A complete contrast to the previous Bill Tanner, Michael Kitchen plays him as a close friend to Bond, who refers to M as 'the evil queen of numbers'. His role is small, though is highly effective, and played well by Kitchen. |
Charles Robinson

A general aid to M, Robinson is a no-nonsense assistant, who helps out M, and compliments her style. He makes an extended appearance in the latest 007 film, The World Is Not Enough, helping Bond out on location. |
Dr Molly Warmflash

In a cameo role, Dr Molly Warmflash is required to nurse him back to health. However, she does a little bit more than that and gives him a clean bill of health ! |
Saunders

In 'The Living Daylights, Saunders is required to help 007 defect Koskov. 007 and Saunders don't like each other, but as the film progesses, they develop a cagey friendship. However, Saunders is killed by Necros, which has an effect on 007. |
Sir Godfrey Tibbett

In A View To A Kill, Sir Godfrey Tibbett is assigned to act as 007's servant in a trip to Zorin's country mansion in France, which is hosting a racehorse sale. However, Tibbett helps 007 uncover Zorin's plot, and is subsequently killed by May Day. |
Admiral Roebuck

Making a solitary appearance in Tomorrow Never Dies, Admiral Roebuck is a temperamental naval commander. He is often at odds with M, and often makes rash decisions, much to the anger of M. |
