Desmond Llewelyn - 1963 - 1999

What can I say ? Probably the most useful of Bond's allies at MI6, and one of the funniest. His relationship with Bond is always up and down, but deep down, they both hold each other dear. Q's gadgetry has helped 007 fight many battles, and provided the audience woth alot of action and laughter. 'Q' was first introduced in Dr No, though he was called Major Boothroyd, and played by Peter Burton. However, Desmond Llewelyn took over in 'From Russia With Love', and was named Q in Goldfinger. Sadly, he died late last year, which will mean the Bond film series will never be the same. However, there is someone who is going to try to replace him.............

John Cleese ( Q's Assistant ) 1999 - Present

Introduced in 'The World Is Not Enough', John Cleese plays the bumbling assistant to Q. In what was a funny role, John Cleese looked at home in Q Branch, and appeared in some homorous sequences. However, will he be the next Q.............?
