Your comments on who should be the next James Bond
Comments - Sean Connery, the first, and in many people's opinion, the best James Bond 007. However, prior to Dr No, author of the James Bond novels Ian Fleming felt Connery didn't fit his depiction of the secret agent. However, after Dr No, he admitted he couldn't see anyone else playing 007. Connery's highlights included films such as From Russia With Love and Goldfinger. Connery announced that he was quitting the role of 007 after You Only Live Twice. However, he made a comeback for Diamonds Are Forever after Lazenby apparently failed in OHMSS. Connery did play Bond one more time, but this was in Never Say Never Again, an unofficial James Bond film, which was a considerable success in the early eighties.
Comments - George Lazenby appeared for only one film in the James Bond series. Many branded him a failure afterwards, but he did put in a commendable performance as 007, considering he had little acting experience before he accepted the role (he was a male model). On Her Majesty's Secret Service wasn't really a box office hit, mainly due to the departure of Connery. However, Lazenby will be remembered as playing Bond in one of the best films in the series.
Comments - Roger burst onto the scene in 1973 as James Bond in Live and Let Die. Many people felt that this was a poor Bond film, though Moore seemed to be a natural as Bond throughout his stay. Roger made the Bond rrole his own, with more humour than before, and impeccable timing. Ironically, he is the only true Englishman to be James Bond out of the five actors who have had the privilege to play him. Moore's last Bond movie ( A View To A Kill ) showed his age, and paved the way for a new 007, which was to be Timothy Dalton.
Comments - Timothy Dalton only lasted for two Bond movies and many classed him as a failure. However, personally, I feel Dalton should have been given a bit more time to prove himself. I feel Dalton was the nearest to Fleming's Bond. He is hard, ruthless (as seen in Licence To Kill) and he really adapts the role to suit him. The two Bond films he did star in were good, but after Licence To Kill, there followed a 6 year Bond movie drought, the longest since Bond began back in 1962.
Comments - Brosnan looks to be the part as the new, rejuvenated James Bond 007. He has a touch of arrogance about him and he has added another dimension of comedy in his 3 Bond films. Mystery surrounds his future as 007. He is likely to do at least one more Bond movie, but whether his contract will be extended, we don't know. Visit the NEWS page for latest Bond news.

I think that they will need someone like Pierce with the good looks and the body to go with it, someone who looks like a 'softie' but can play hard as well.
Martin Kemp also has the hair to go with it, just sleek back.
I don't know his name, but he played the bad guy in the Mel Gibson film "The Patriot". He was the captain (or what ever) of a special soldier group using horses: Green Racoons, I think !
Do you know who it is ? I have looked around on the net, but couldn't find the exact person. Email me if you know - Thanks
I would like to see that dashing actor, James D'arcy, who recently played the main role in The Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby as the new James Bond. I have not got a second choice.
