The man behind it all - Quatermaster, or better known as 'Q', head of Q Branch. Q has provided James Bond with gadgets and jokes in every James Bond film bar Dr No and Live And Let Die. Played by the late Desmond Llewelyn, Q started life as Major Boothroyd in the role of Mi6 armourer in From Russia With Love. However, he was duly promoted to Q in Goldfinger, and started up a unique love hate relationship with the man who wrecked his beloved gadgets - James Bond ! One of the most loved characters throughout the James Bond series, Q will never be forgotten ! 'I never joke about my work, 007.'
