Welcome to the Ali's Bond Archive Ian Fleming Book Review Page

A must for all 007 fans. The film is good, and so is this truly pulsating book by Ian Fleming. The film is mainly set at 'Piz Gloria', on top of an Alp in Switzerland.

Bond is sent to Switzerland under cover as Sir Hillary Bray to trace the must sought after Ernst Stavro Blofeld's family tree. However, whilst there, he uncovers Blofeld's plan for biological warfare on Britain. The highlight of this story has to be the final scene, where Bond's new wife Tracy is shot dead in a tragic drive by shooting. Like the film, this scene is poignant, and well written by Fleming. In conclusion, this again is a great book, and one that runs mainly on the same lines as the film. READ IT !
